Learning to Play
Hi! My name is Winnie. I am two years old, and I was abused as a puppy; my first owners shook me because I made a mistake in the house. I came from a pet store, and I didn’t know any better.
I had so many accidents my family decided to throw me out. No matter how much they shook me, I didn’t learn. My brain got banged around a lot, and now it has trouble sending messages to the rest of my body. I can’t even walk right! I ended up on a thing called Craig’s List, but I got lucky. A nice family took me in, but my needs were more than they could handle so they called DACHSHUND RESCUE OF BUCKS COUNTY & NJ.
Not too long after that, I went on a long car ride and came to a place where there were other dogs like me, well not exactly like me, but they looked a lot like me. It was the sanctuary home at DACHSHUND RESCUE OF BUCKS COUNTY & NJ. Wow, I got lucky. They rescued me and placed me in the Best Friend Program, which lets dogs like me get the veterinary help we need. Best of all, I never have to be scared again.
