Unfortunately, my Rossi and Carlie passed on. I have since fostered a little guy name, Hogan. I have adopted Hank and Holly. Doxies are like potato chips; you can't have just one.

Your IVDD section was the lifeline we needed. Our Heidi, blonde longhair mini, had an accident and by the time I took her to the vet, she wasn't walking. The diagnosis was pretty scary, but I figured the dachshund rescue would know something, and thank you for being there. We were able to do everything, read everything, prepare, and have hope. Today, she is walking (like a drunk, but walking). Knowledge was power and it was comforting. Your directions on crate rest have been followed to the letter. It had the largest impact. I cannot thank you enough.

I just wanted to take the time to sincerely thank you; Doxie Rescue for the advice I needed to help my newly rescued puppy. He has become my best friend. He was a puppy mill dog that hated everyone. Getting him to trust me was difficult but with your help; he has become a cuddle bug. We call him our "kissy mugger' because he will mug us with kisses. God bless you and thank you with all my heart for helping me rescue my best friend. Love Tammy and "Oscar" You guys are truly doxie angels

Hi DRBC! It’s Leo (my mom calls me Crazy Boy) - Daisy and Luna are my older sisters and we were all adopted by our family from DRBC. We are all doing well but really tired of the cold weather. We are so glad the sun finally decided to come back. We hope it stays for a really long time. Mom told me to tell you that everyone is healthy and happy. See you soon!!! Love, Leo. PS Daisy & Luna say HI!!!!

Hi DRBC - it's me Mikey (formerly known as Armani). It's been 2-1/2 yrs since you found my fur-ever home! Just want you to know that I am loving life! My mom put me on a diet (if you remember I was VERY overweight - 30+ lbs) - I am now a svelte 20 lbs. I used to gulp my food but now that I know that no one will take it away, I eat more slowly. I'm still a little leery of new people but I'm gradually building my confidence and will allow them to pet me if they let me approach them first and don't look at me right away. I used to be afraid of going for walks (tail tight between my legs) but now I love going for long walks - especially in the park!! My mom said to tell anyone who is concerned about rescuing from DRBC to DEFINITELY make the decision to do so!!!! A rescue doxie may take a little while to acclimate but once they do, they will love you fur-ever!! Stay well and say hi to my other doxie friends!

I would love to have a Dachshund. I got one in 1987 from a friend for my little girl, started raising them, my MOM got cancer and I could not take care of them the way they needed to be taken care of and so I had to find good homes for them in 1997 and I have wanted another one to love ever since MOM died but have not been able to find a puppy I could raise with my grandchildren and you are so far away and I can not afford to come to visit but sure do wish I could come and adopt you Daisy or one of your friends. I live off of Disability and money is hard to come by as far as leaving home to go that far. Hope you find a good home.

Hi DRBC - it's me Daisy! Can you believe it's been almost 3 years since you helped me with my back surgery and rehab? Things here are still going well, as you know Luna came to live with us a couple of months after I got to my forever home and last year we added that little boy Leo (who turned out to be not so little!). Mom's nickname for him is CRAZY BOY and he certainly is! Luna is still working on her anxiety issues but they have improved some. Dr. Collins who does my acupuncture says I'm doing great even though I've had a couple of additional back issues. I better get going - Mom and Dad are coming home from dinner soon with our friends the Davis' (I like to cuddle with them - they are dog people) and they don't like it when I'm on the computer without asking! By the way, LOVE THE NEW WEBSITE!!!!! Love, Daisy Luna & Leo too!
