DRBC Goes Green
Green is everywhere you look these days, from stores, news, fashion, politics, and technology. It is hard not to get overwhelmed by the constant media blitz concerning this global objective; but remember, it is simpler to take a few small steps that have real impact. Embracing a greener lifestyle isn't just about helping to preserve equatorial rain forests. It can also mean improving your health and, ultimately, improving your overall quality of life. All that and you can save furry animals, too. Why wouldn't anyone want to go green?

DRBC has initiated 'Project Green' with these very thoughts in mind. We hope that the small steps we have outlined below help you to make that positive outcome on your world and on ours as well.
Second Life for Gadgets and Gadget Batteries
You thought we only rescued dachshunds; well, not true. We want to rescue your old cell phones, batteries, and all your electronic gadgets! Here is another great way to recycle and help save the lives of your favorite breed.
Look around the house, in the car, and at the office. Most people don't throw batteries in the trash but also don't know what to do with them. DRBC can help you with that.
Gather your batteries and let us know. There may be an event near you soon where you can drop them off and get to say 'hi', or we can make arrangements to get them from you privately. Either way, it helps us raise needed funding for the veterinary care that our little ones receive.
